It has been announced within the last 48 hours that David Tennant (10th Doctor) and Billie Piper (Rose) will be returning for the 50th Anniversary Special in November!!! Also, the last episode of series 7 is said to lead into the 50th anniversary special Casting News: David Bradley (Mr. Filch from the Harry Potter has been cast as the first Doctor and Reece Shearsmith has been cast as the 2nd Doctor. It was also announced recently that the 50th Anniversary Special will be filmed in 3D.
With that, here is a look back at other times the Doctor has bumped into himslef through time
And now for a bit of Series 7 news. Alex Kingston will return this series as River Song and the Ice Warriors will make a return as well as retooled Cybermen and according to showrunner stephen moffat some new monsters will be introduced.
