Whovians,

John Barrowman and Alex Kingston (Jack Harkness and River Song) who co-star on 'Arrow' together have announced that they have discussed the idea of a Doctor Who spin-off. Maybe somehow related to Torchwood, as that is the Jack Harkness spin-off from Doctor Who.

Tragedy in Boston

Whovians,
My heart is saddened today by an act of terror in Boston, Massachusetts. Today, two bombs were detonated in Boston near the finish line of the marathon. Three people were killed and over 130 others were injured by the flying shrapnel loaded into the bombs. My thoughts and prayers remain with the good people of Boston and the U.S., my homeland, in the wake of this horrific event.

50th Anniversary News and Bells of Saint John/ Really Late Snowmen Review

Happy Easter Whovians of Earth,

So we start today with some news. Christopher Eccleston has been unofficially confirmed to be taking part in the 50th Anniversary Special has the 9th Doctor.

      Now, onto the reviews!

Snowmen (I do apologize for the late review, I am very sorry, I was having technical difficulties around the winter holidays and they were recently resolved.)

The Snowmen sees the Doctor, still in mourning for the loss of Amy and Rory in Victorian England. He stays isolated in the Tardis with the exceptional stroll around London or visit to Vastra, Jane and Strax. They help in the Doctor's isolation even though they are against it. The episode opens with a young boy building a snowman. The snowman talks to him (Voiced be Ian Mckellen (X-Men (all 3), Lord of the Rings (all 3), and the Hobbit (all 3)). Then fast forward 50 years and the boy is an adult by the name of Doctor Simian and he has used the talking snowman (The Great Intelligence he calls it) to create snow that reads thoughts. Doctor Simians ultimate goal is to create the perfect ice/human hybrid and use an army of ice humans to otake over the world. Doctor Simian then feeds his workers to his snowmen. The Doctor walks past a bar maid (Jenna-Louise Coleman) who asks if he built the snowman because she says it 'Just  Appeared'. He says he didn't. The Doctor scans the snowman with his Screwdriver and realizes that the snow reads thoughts and tells the Barmaid, who says her name is Clara, to imagine the snowman melting. The snowman melts. Strax and the Doctor depart and Clara begins to run after the carriage. The Doctor is talking to Vastra when he says she doesn't even know his name, two words, The Doctor. Then, from the ceiling Clara drops in up side down and asks "Doctor? Doctor Who", which leads into the awesome new opening titles which now feature Matt Smith's face made out of stars. Vastra and Jane confront Simian about the snow in a back alley way. Meanwhile, the Doctor and Strax are on the Other side of London investigating snow. The Doctor asks strax what to look for next, to which he says "A Grenade!" (because we all know Sontarans are insane), then the Doctor tells Strax that "if  I ever need advice from a psychotic potato dwarf, he'll be the first to know". He then gets Strax to retrieve the Worm, a worm used to wipe memory. Strax neglects to use the guabtlets twice and thinks he's been run over by a cab. The Doctor tells Clara that Strax gave his live for a friend of his (most likely Rory in A Good Man Goes To War) and that another friend brought him back but that his brains didn't take the return trip. Snowmen then begin to appear round them and the Doctor tells Clara to imagine them melting and the melt. He then tells here to forget him and all of what just happened. The Doctor is walking in a park and jumps up to grasp an invisible, hidden ladder that leads to a spiral staircase that leads to the cloud where the Tardis is. Clara follows him but has no success the first time she tries to grab the ladder. She falls and hits the ground. She tries again and gets the ladder and hoists her self up the ladder to the stair case. She looks off the stair case to the world below but no one can see her because she is invisible. She then descends the staircase to find the Tardis, and is amazed that she is standing on a cloud. She knocks on the door of the tardis and then runs around and his beside it so the Doctor won't find her. He peeks out and says "hello" 3 times. as the circles the Tardis, Clara does the same to stay out of sight and eventually descends the ladder. The great intelligence tells Simian that "tonight is the thaw and tomorrow the snow will fall stronger and the drowned woman of the dreaming child will give us form. Tomorrow the snow shall fall and mankind shall fall. She is coming. Clara leaves the pub to go to her other Job, being a governess (Ms. Montague) for the Lattimer Children (their last governess drowned in the Pond in front of the manion). Clara tends to Francesca and Digby and they tell her of Francesca's nightmares of the old governess. They go to see where the governess died and Digby tells Clara that she fell into the pond and that it froze over and she was in there for days and days. Clara notices that everything is thawed except for the pond remembers what the Doctor said about the snow remembering thoughts. Clara asks Francesca what the governess does in her dreams and Francesca says thet the governess is mad at her and is coming back for Christmas. Clara goes back to the park where she found the Tardis and calls for the Doctor and tries to grab the Latter. Jane fonds her and says they don't want to attract noise. Clara asks if Jane knows the Doctor and Jane says "Doctor Who?" Jane takes Clara to where she, Vastra and Strax reside and Strax tells Clara, that if she tries to escape she will be obliterated. Vastra interrogates her with yes or no questions and says she has to send the Doctor a message in one word. The phone rings in the Tardis and the Doctor looks up from his book to answer and hears Vastra say "Pond". The Doctor, with a startled. look on his face, as that was the last name of his former companion who met her fate with the weeping angels, slowly removes his glasses in shock. The Doctor, dressed as Sherlock Holmes visits Simians lab where he meets simian and the Intelligence. Talking Snow. He begings making puns based around Sherlock Holmes and Snow such as "It takes one to snow one" He figures out that simian is after the frozen pond where the governess died. Strax followed to Doctor and when asked by the doctor why he is there he states "Madame Vastra thought you might need Grenades." The Doctor replies "Grenades" and Strax replies "She might have said 'Help'". the doctor asks for what and strax says "For your investigation and the Doctor says "With what Investigation? Just because a bird smiles at me doesn't mean I'm investigating. Who do I look like to you?" Strax comes up with a clever come back "Sherlock Holmes". The Doctor tells Stras"Don't be clever, Strax. It doesn't suit you. (Strax says "Sorry, sir" sadly) I'm the clever one, you're the potato one. (Strax: Yes sir). No go away! (Strax: Yes, Mr. Holmes) Oi, Shut up, you're not clever, you're not funny and you've got tiny little legs" Vastra, Strax, and Jane watch as Simian pulls up with is equipment in his carriage. Just as the Doctor leaves the pond side, the ice breaks and the ice governess comes through. Clara is upstairs putting the children to bed when she braks through and Clara and the children run into the play room. She says the need the doctor and a puppet in the puppet theater holding the Doctor's sonic says "Doctor? Doctor Who?" The doctor pops up and melts the ice governess and then makes the puppet kiss him then hit him in the nose. The Doctor tells Clara why he doesn't help anymore then sees himself in the mirror and realizes how old he look and notices that his bowtie is crooked. The ice governess reforms herself and the Doctor, Clara, and the children run out of the room. They descend the main stairs and meet the children's father. He asks the Doctor who he is and he says he is the governess' (Clara's) gentleman friend and that they were upstairs kissing. The maid opens the door and sees Vastra and Jane and asks who they are. Vastra states that she is the lizard woman from the beginning of time and that Jane is her wife. The maid then sees Strax (Strax: this house is under attack, please remain calm!) and proceeds to scream and pass out. Simians snow is falling outside creating an army of snowmen (Strax: Let's blow them to smithereens, Doctor: They're already Smithereens). The Doctor calls Clara by name and the children's father asks who Clara because he only knows her by her alias, Ms. Montague. The Doctor Says, she is his governess and that is his old governess, now a living ice sculpture. He puts up a force field to block the ice woman from getting to the family and ushers the family into a parlor room. The Doctor goes into the foyer to the stairs to confront the ice governess and Clara follows him. The Doctor and Simian meet at the door where Simian tells the Doctor to release the Ice woman to him in five minutes  The Doctor and Clara move the force field to behind them and the Doctor grabs an umbrella before running with Clara up the stairs and on to the roof to lure the ice woman away from the family and from Simians snow. They meet the ladder leading to the tardis on the roof and they go up to the tadris and use super dense water vapor to trap the governess. they go to the tardis and the doctor turns on the light, revealing an awesome new interior. Clara is amazed by the inside of the box and runs around the outside of the box and upon returning exclaims "It's Smaller on the Outside!" to which the Doctor says (almost to himself) "Well,..That is a first." Clara then asks if there is a kitchen because she likes making Souffles to which the doctor mutters "Another First". When the Doctor hears her say souffles, he is reminded of souffle girl Oswin Oswald (also Jenna-Louise Coleman, Asylum of the Daleks). He decides he wants her to be his new companion, but just when he is beginning to become himself again, the ice woman grabs Clara from the Tardis and falls through the clouds with her. The Ice woman shatters upon impact and Clara dies. The doctor materializes around Clara and brings her in. He then materializes the tardis into the parlor room where the family is. Strax and Vastra take vitals and scan Clara. Everyone is saddened by the turn of event and the Doctor is becoming depressed again because he blames himself for the death of another companion. He takes the tardis to Simians lab with what he says is a piece of the ice lady. He arrives at Simians Lab and asks The Intelligence what is on the front of the lunch box he has with him (the London underground circa 1967). The Doctor uses the sonic to uncover the disguise and it began to sound like simian as a child. Simian says that The Intelligence was a snowman he had as a boy. Simian grabs the lunch box, opens it and grabs the worm, wiping out his memory. The Intelligence then takes over Simians body and grows more snowmen at the Lattimer House. Simian's body rises, taken over by the Intelligence (Vastra draws her sword and charges him) and pushes Vastra aside and grabs the doctor and begins to freeze him. At the Lattimer house, Clara is shedding a tear as she dies. The snow melts and Simians body dies. Inside the Globe, the intelligence has turned to rain. The Doctor states that something powerful is drowning the snow and says the only thing powerful enough to do so is a whole family crying on Christmas Eve. Vastra and the Doctor go back to the Parlor room at the Lattimer house and see the Family crying and Clara dying. Her Last words to the Doctor are the Same words as Oswin, "Run clever boy and Remember." The Doctor, Jane and Vastra are at Clara's Grave and the Doctor goes to read her head stone and Notice her name is Clara Oswin Oswald and realizes that Clara and Oswin spoke the same last words and were the same person (the Doctor:"Souffle Girl. Twice) and tells Vastra and Jane not to move an inch. He then goes off to find Oswin again elsewhere in time. The next seen sees Clara Oswin Oswald in the future at the grave of Clara Oswin Oswald.

The Bells of Saint John

The Bells of Saint John sees the Doctor living in medieval times as a monk. It opens with a young man warning people not to connect to the WiFi because it uploads their souls and they won't know where they are-because it happened to him and he doesn't know where he is. After the opening titles, the scene changes to a medieval setting with monks talking about the Doctor. Meanwhile in the future, tech savvy Clara Oswin Oswald is having computer trouble connecting to the WiFi. Clara calls a tech support number she received from a local hotline and it calls the phone on the Tardis nearly one thousand years in the past. Two monks returned to the monastery and exclaim "The bells at Saint John are ringing! Get the Abbot!" The monks, along with the Doctor arrive at the Tardis in a cave to find that the phone is ringing in the call box (something that hasn't occurred since the 9th Doctor's encounter with the Empty Child in Series 1). The Doctor tells them that that isn't supposed to happen because the phone isn't real.He answers and hears Clara in the other side of the call. As she is working on her computer, the child she is watching asks if it is okay if she can go and see Nina and Clara says yes and asks for the WiFi password which is rycbar123 and she comes up with a clever way to remember the password: Run You Clever Boy and Remember 123. She says it into the phone and the Doctor realizes he is talking to Clara. Next thing Clara knows, there is a vicious knocking on the front door. It is the Doctor dressed as a monk. He asks if she remembers him and she says know. He says his name and she replies "Doctor Who?" The Doctor enjoys hearing that phrase that he gets her to say it three more times. She then closes the door in his face.He remains at the door pleading with her to speak to her. She gets up from sitting on the stairs and turns on an outside security camera to talk to the Doctor. She asks how he knows who she is and he says he's the man from the phone and that he got there so fast because he was on his mobile phone (gestures toward the tardis and when asked why he calls it that he says that it is a surprisingly accurate description) and happened to be in the neighborhood  She says their done and tirns off the camera. The Doctor then runs over to the Tardis and begins to rummage through his drawers under the control console to switch outfits and while doing so exclaims "Monks are not cool!" Clara, meanwhile is confronted by a girl from a book she has by Amelia Williams (Amy Pond). She asks the girl where she is from before she relizes that the girl is from the book. The girl then proceeds to absorb Clara's soul into the internet. When he returns to the house, he tells her it s him, demonkified and asks her to please open the door. She says she doesn't understand (Doctor: Just Open the door) and she doesn't know (Doctor: Clara, open the door) where she is. This startles the Doctor and he uses his trusty sonic to open the door and finds Clara's lifeless body slumped over, lying on the stairs and the girl lying close by with her head turned all the way around, revealed an inverted dome shaped screen with Clara saying she doesn't know where she is, however, she in't completely absorbed yet so the doctor uses his trusty sonic once more, this time to free Clara from being absorbed into the internet and shuts down the girl, who turns out to be a camouflaged robot. Meanwhile, at the headquarters, where the soul absorbing WiFi robots came from, the workers see an error on Clara's file, she is being downloaded back into her own body. The decamouflaged robot sends Clara's soul back into her body and she wakes up. The Doctor doesn't even notice the book by Amelia Williams. The Woman who heads the company that released the camouflaged robots realizes that the Doctor is here and is determined to capture him. At Cara's house, the doctor puts her in bed, leaves cookies and a drink at her bed side an finds a book called "1000 Places to Visit and a leaved pressed in the first page with an inscription written by Clara: Property of Clara Oswin Oswald age: (she has every age shes had it crossed off up to (except for) her current age. She wakes up and looks outside from her open window to see the Doctor tinkering with the robot. She says"Hello?" and the Doctor looks up and happily says "Hello! Are you alright?" and she says  "I was in bed?", the Doctor replies "Yes" and Clara says "Don't remember going (Doctor: No.) "What did I miss?" (The Doctor: OOh, quite alot, actually, ah, Angie called, she is going to stay the night with Nina and apparently thats completely fine and shouldn't worry like you always do for Gods sake, get of her back; also, your Dad phoned, mainly about the governor, he thinks your cross with him, I've got many pages on that, I said I'd look into it,I fixed that rattling noise in the washer and indexed the kitchen cupboards, optimized the photosynthesis in the main flower bed and assembled a quadrocycle.) "What" (Doctor: A quadrocycle) "I don't think you did" (Doctor: I've invented the quadrocycle!) "What happened to me?" (Doctor: Don't you remember?) she sakes her head in a 'No' gesture "I was scared. Really Scared. Didn't know where I was." (Doctor: Do you know now) "Yes" (Doctor, You should probably go to sleep. Good night Clara Oswald) "Are you guarding me?" (Doctor: Yep! All night! I'm not going to budge from this spot! Clara comes outside to talk to the Doctor and he says "Imagine something living in the WiFi, Something harvesting souls. Stuck forever crying out for help". The Doctor tells Clara that she should know how to hack a computer then sh realized she knows a lot about computers. The Doctor and Clara realize the WiFi is switching on the people and that they are switching on the lights. They turn around and see the lights in downtown London going dark. They both run into the tardis and fly through time and space to the concessions section of a passenger airplane flying through the sly with out pilots because the WiFi switched them off. Clara asks what's happening and the doctor frantically explains that he is an alien, he has two hearts, he's 1,00 years old and he doesn't know how to fly a plane! He grabs the controls the plane, levels it and use his sonic to kill the WiFi and wake the pilots up, then he and Clara run back into the Tardis and arrive at the next morning. Once again the Doctor dons his fez hat as he and Clara exit the Tardis. He walks around saying : Give a hand for the Magic Blue Box and is holding id fez upside down for tips. he then, with fez in hand runs back into the tardis and comes out riding a motor cycle, wearing a helmet and goggles. He puts the fez on a random bystander and tells Clara to get on the bike and gives her a helmet and goggles and they off down the street on the motor cycle and go to a coffee cafe. En route, Clara asks the Doctor, why, if he has a time machine are they riding a motorcycle. He says he doesn't take the tardis into battle. She asks if it is because it is made of wood. He says it is because the tardis is the most powerful weapon in the universe and he doesn't want it to fall into the wrong hands. They have no idea that the WiFi robot company knows where they are, and are watching them from civilian cameras and cctv/ security cameras. Clara asks why, if they could go anywhere, did they go to the next morning. He asks her is she is tired and she says yes. He then says Imagine how they feel, they came the long way around, they stayed up all night looking for us. I can hack the lowest level of their operating system but I can't find the location because the security is too good. (Clara: Are you an alien) "Yes I am, are you okay with it?" (Clara: Yeah, I think so) "Oh good".  (Clara:What happens if you do find them? What happens then?)"I don't know. I can't tell the future, I just work there. You remember what I said about plans? (Clara:What?) I don'y have one. Clara and the Doctor begin to argue over who is going to work the computer and Clara wins and sends the Doctor to get coffee while she tries to find a location of the company. While inside after he orders, the company hacks the people and uses them to talk to the Doctor, telling him that there isn't the slightest chance he can save his friend. Clara, meanwhile Is outside hacking into the company's employee computers and using the webcams to take pictures of the workers at their computers and she uses social media outlets such as Facebook and Myspace to find their location because all of the employees have their place of occupation listed or tagged as a location. Clara finds out that the company is located on floor 65 of the shard and tells the Doctor when he comes back. He repeats back what she said. She then realized he is a camouflaged walking WiFi base station. This base station complete uploads Clara's soul before the Doctor can cave her. He see's her on the inverted dome screen asking for his help and stating that she doesn't know where she is. The Doctor jumps on his motor cycle and goes to the Shard, all while they are watching. They freeze a man and make him say "A motorcycle? That hardly seems like you, Doctor" to which he says he used it in the Anti Gravity Olympic of 2074 and he came in last. The man says that the shard is locked down and he won't be coming in. HE tells the man "Didn't you even here the word? Anti Grav!" ad promptly take off and drives up the side of the shard to floor 65. They can see him driving up the side of the building and one of the employees says "Seriously, he can really do that?" The Doctor uses his sonic to break a window on floor 65 and goes in and tries to convince the head of the company to put Clara back into her body. The Doctor tells her that she is very close to changing her mind and tells her that "I'm not here. Actually, I'm still at the Cafe!" and reveals that he is actually a WiFi robot and downloads her into the soul cloud. Unit is in the building surrounding the employees and the head of the company. He then does a full system restore and sends all of the souls on the cloud back to their bodies. The restore also resets the workers and the head of the company to the moment they were taken to the company. The Head of the company asks "Where are my mommy and daddy? Are they coming back?" and the rest of the worker are puzzled as to how they ended up at the company, and it is revealed that the Intelligence (in the form of Doctor Simian from the Snowmen) is responsible. Back home, Clara sees the Tardis outside the front window and goes to see the Doctor. He tries to convince her to come with him. She says to come back in the morning and maybe she will say yes. Doctor: "Aliright Clara Oswald, time to find out who you are.
